The Privacy Promise

Zero Data Leaves Your Device

Face Gallery's AI models run entirely on your device. Your photos, faces, and memories are never uploaded to any server. This is not a setting you configure — it is the fundamental architecture of the application.

This Privacy Policy describes how Mahajan Works ("we," "us," or "Service Provider") handles information when you use the Face Gallery application ("Application") for Android.

Information We Collect

The following data is transmitted to third-party services to operate and improve the Application. All transmission occurs over HTTPS/TLS encryption.

What We Never Collect

Your Media Stays Private — Always

The following data is processed locally on your device and is never collected, transmitted, or stored on any server operated by Mahajan Works or its partners:

Biometric facial templates or mathematical face embeddings
Your photos, videos, or any media files
GPS/EXIF location data embedded in your photos
Image content labels or scene detection results
OCR text detected within your images
Any output or result generated by on-device AI models

On-Device Facial Recognition

Biometric Data — Required Disclosure

Face Gallery uses advanced machine learning to analyze faces in your photos. All facial analysis — including face detection, embedding generation, and person clustering — occurs entirely on your mobile device using TensorFlow Lite and OpenCV models. No biometric data, facial signatures, or original photos are uploaded to our servers for this purpose. Facial templates are stored only in the app's private local database on your device.

You may delete all locally stored facial data at any time by clearing the Application's storage in your Android Settings, or by uninstalling the Application.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following service providers to operate the Application. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data they receive.

Google Firebase — Crash reporting, remote configuration, and feedback storage. Privacy Policy
PostHog — Product analytics and feature usage insights. Privacy Policy
RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. Privacy Policy
osmdroid — On-device map rendering. No data is transmitted by this library.

The Service Provider may also disclose information as required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users, or to respond to a valid legal process.

Data Retention & Deletion

Analytics and crash data is retained according to the default policies of PostHog and Firebase respectively.

All data processed locally — including face identities, photo metadata, and AI results — is stored only on your device. It is permanently deleted when you clear the Application's storage or uninstall the Application.

To request deletion of any feedback or personal information you have submitted, email facegallery@mahajanworks.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at facegallery@mahajanworks.com. We will promptly delete such information.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable law:

Access: Request a copy of feedback or personal data you have submitted to us.
Deletion: Uninstall the Application to delete all local data. Email us to delete submitted feedback data.
Data Portability: Request a copy of your submitted feedback data via email.

Security

All data transmitted to third-party services is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. The Service Provider applies physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information it processes.

Local data — including all AI-generated results and face identities — is protected by Android's application sandbox. No other application on your device can access Face Gallery's private storage.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Application after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This policy is effective as of January 1, 2026.
